ETHLINE line speed 10M set to 100/1GB
We are running v5r4 and system is a 520.
Currently our Iseries is set to 10M for a connection as seen below:
Line speed . . . . . . . . . . . . : LINESPEED 10M
Current line speed . . . . .. . : 10M
Duplex . . . . . . . . . . .... . . . : DUPLEX *HALF
I am interested in instructions on how to change this to 100 or 1GB as im pretty sure our iseries supports it. The reason I am told it is set to 10 was an old switch which has been replaced was a 10MB switch.
WRKLIND LIND(*ELAN) - is this the only place that needs to be configured? this is what shows:
ETHLINE *ELAN Ethernet Line Description
RS99BGCAPP *ELAN
RS99BGCBPP *ELAN
We have 2x IXA's and here are their values:
Ethernet standard . . . . . . . . : ETHSTD *ALL
Line speed . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : LINESPEED 1G
Current line speed . . . . . . . . : 1G
Duplex . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . : DUPLEX *FULL
Also do I need/want the duplex set to half or full? Will i need to restart any subsystems or devices when I make the change or simply vary off / vary back on the device? Any details would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
