I'm trying to show data from a MySQL database on an ASP page using a DSN connection. In Dreamweaver the connection is made and I can see the data. However, when I try to view the page online I get the following error. Any suggestions? Thanks, Gary

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0115'
Unexpected error

A trappable error (C0000005) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running.

I tried a custom connection string instead of DSN. Dreamweaver will connect, show all the tables and data, but I get the same error when the page is online.
One possibility could be your scripting engine is corrupted. Script engine comes together with our Internet Explorer and so if you have the latest IE, then you should have the script engine installed too.

Google is the first place I check. No luck.

I thought it might be the host so I tried a completely different company but get the same error.
I hand coded the connection string and record set into the page instead of having Dreamweaver insert it and it now works.
