issue connecting RWW Vbscript:remote Desktop Disconnected (error 50331688).
hi, i managed to get RWW working on an sbs08, all of a suden i'm getting
Vbscript:remote Desktop Disconnected Error Dialog that says "an internal error has occurred (error 50331688). For more information, please contact your network administrator or Microsoft Product support.
i have looked at the below links and followed them over and over again. what i did find was the certificate binding had been lost in IIS website.
any ideas

In the SBS Console run the Fix My Network wizard > then run the Set up your Internet Address wizard > next click on the Configure a virtual private network wizard

hi, i get 3 errors. i had these last time i ran fix my network.
1)could not configure the router
2)trusted certificate expired or invalid
3)a network component is not configured properly (componentID 4) - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957711
clikck next, it did the following
1) skipped router config
2) removed/replaced the certificate
3)fixed componetID 4
i ran the other 2, do i need to relink (binding) the certificate next in IIS SSL ?

"3)fixed componetID 4" should have fixed that when you ran the wizard...is it still not working?

it removes the godaddy certificate from the IIS bindings for the sbs web app website.
So when i go to web.domainname/remote, IE7 tells me that there is no certificate for the site.
I went into bindings for the site to relink it to the go daddy certificate for port 443 to point to the sbs IP.
the certificate doesn't run out for another 11 months

amazing, i've relinked the SSL for a 2nd time and its working. I've tried this loads today.
I'm going to reboot the server to see what happens, as if i restart the IIS website it doesn't work.
I'll get back to you once it reboots, 10 minutes or so

rebooted the server. RWW didn't work, reran fix my network, went back to square one,
run what you suggested, put the certificate back in. all works fine.
There seems to be a problem with it thinking either the certificate is out of date or some thing else.
any ideas, as i'm going to have to re do it every time we reboot the server

If you restart IIS does the certificate stop working? It sounds like IIS is not correctly shutting down when the server restarts and it's not saving the changes. Maybe if you restart IIS the changes will be saved to the metabase and will stay in the event of an improper shutdown.

if i restart the IIS admin service it still works, but, if i restart the website in IIS it doesn't
