I have a Cisco ASA5505 connected to the road runner modem and want to use my wrt54gs router for wireless computers inside. I'm not sure how to set up the wrt54gs to forward wireless computers internet requests to the 5505 and on to the internet.
When I plug my laptop directly into the 5505 I can do everything fine on the internet but can't get it to work when laptop goes wireless through the wrt54gs

Hello pittner,

I have the same set up - just plug one cable from the "inside" of the wrt54G to any ot the inside 5505 ports - job done.

Thank you for your quick reply. I am wondering if you needed to change the setting in the linksys config utility from 'gateway' to 'router'? I should have to change the ipaddress of the wrt54gs from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2. On the wireless computers does the gateway address need to be changed from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2?

I have a simple set up - the only thing different is, I have a server that leases DHCP, the router does not, And t my wrt54G is just acting as an access point
