Connecting to ESXi with vSphere Client through firewall.

I am unable to connect to ESXi from vSphere Client through a firewall. I have opened tcp 443 and 902.

What am I missing?

Port tcp/443 is sufficient for accessing an ESXi 4 Server from a vSphere Client.

If you want to access the guest's console you'll need tcp/902 in addition.

Did you check the connectivity? Try to access https://<esxi-host> thru your Browser and see if you can connect to the webinterface.

It may be a routing problem. - eg. missing gateway on ESXi management interface.

We're using a ssh-tunnel for remote management - with only tcp/443,902 and it works.
