I want to reimage a pc. I have a copy image stored on a shared server but, not having done this before, I am confused as to the correct procedure in copying this image off the server onto the pc without messing up the pc?

If you have the BartPE iso created with the Symantec Ghost Plugin, as well as all the drivers for your various Network Cards, all you do is boot to BartPE, and start Ghost. Make sure you start Network Support when prompted....
I have done exactly this before.
The BartPE iso was probably created with BartPE. Best option is make sure you enable network support. You will need to make sure you know the details of the network to add the appropriate IP address and default gateway. Once booted up, simply use the utility that created the iso to restore to your drive. DriveXML works well with BartPE if that is what you used. Should end up pretty straight forward.
Good luck.
