I want the user to select on item from a combobox and then have a mechanism that finds the lowest price on the web for that item. I don't even know if this is even possible but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, that's a complicated project - not really something that can completely be done here. When you're searching the web for prices, keep in mind that all the web sites that you're searching have different ways of presenting prices (and sometimes slightly different product names). To do it well, you usually need some sort of cooperation or APIs with the web sites you're searching.

There ARE several different lowest-price search engines out there - is there something you're trying to do that they are not doing?

Well, my site will allow the user to choose a cigar from a large database I have built. These come from catalogs and websites but the idea is to make my site a place where once the cigar is selected, the cheapest price can be found. As a secondary choice, I guess having the cigar search just show the user what retailers sell that particular cigar would be ok. I guess I could just put a google search box on the site and the user could manually enter the chosen cigar. I would love to get the price search thing to work though. Any ideas?
