How can i load a tracking image before redirecting the user to the destination url (destination is of site)<br />

the user clicks a link on my site, they are directed to a redirect page that collects tracking information, here an image should load in the page that sends the info to our tracking software, only i cant figure out how to load the image into a page before redirecting the user, all code behind executes before the page is loaded, therefor the user has already been redirected and the image never loads.<br />
