Problem is only on computers with Access Runtime 2007 version installed, when I use computer with full Access 2007 problem does not exist.
File type .accde and laccdb, both have same problem
The problem relates to unbound combo boxes where the row source is a numeric item queried from a table. Typing a value into the combo will give the message. "The text you entered isn't an item in the list" even though it is. The data item may only be selected by scrolling down the combo list and clicking on it. Normally when you start typing the number, Access predicts the item and whatever you type is in black and predicted part clear. In this case list behaves just like item is not in the list.
Any other than numeric items does not have this problem.
I have listed in code section the settings of the Combo box
Row Source SELECT [Table Work Order1].[Work Order Number], [Table Work Order1].Status, [Table Work Order1].[Job Description] FROM [Table Work Order1];
Row Source Type Table/Query
Bound Column 1
Limit to List No
Allow Value List Edits Yes
List Items Edit Form
Inherit Value List Yes
Show Only Row Source No
Auto Expand Yes
