Hi people

Having a problem with a GPO i have created to forward users to WSUS server. see attached wsusgpo.jpg

Fat clients (local clients) arent getting the computer configuration part of the policy applied. They are just getting the user part applied. see attached gpos.jpg. Also in the picture the 2 policys labeled A work fine and everyone across the domian get them, But the 2 in B users are only getting the user settings not the computer settings.

Any ideas?

The reason is very probably that the computer objects aren't in or below the WSUS/GUI FAT OUs.
Any *computer* configuration settings in a GPO will only apply to *computer* objects in or below the OU to which the GPO is linked.
Accordingly, any *user* configuration settings in a GPO will only apply to *user* objects in or below the OU to which the GPO is linked.
In other words: do yourself a favor, and never mix user configuration settings and computer configuration settings in the same GPO; they have nothing to do with each other. Create separate GPOs for users and computers, and link them to the appropriate OUs.
And a final note: do not use the Default Domain Policy. Create your own GPOs and link them to the domain root, if necessary, but Microsoft recommends to leave the default GPOs untouched.
