Replying to email in Outlook causes original email to appear on blackberry - how?

Hi,
Strange problem with a client here. He is using a hosted exchange account from me and has blackberry BIS Service.

The strange thing is whenever he sends a reply from within Outlook (whether using Outlook 2007 or OWA), the original email that he was replying to, reappears as a new email on his blackberry.

For example if he had a messagefrom me in his inbox. He replies to that message from within OWA. The original message (the one he is replying to) appears again on his blackberry.

Even if repies to the same message again, the message again appears again on his blackberry.

What on earth could be causing this?

It's a hosted service from an exchange malibox provider. There are no rules setup on the account. It is a virgon account and has been doing this problem since we set it up a week ago.
So settings on the server are out of my control (And I have lots of other users who use it with no problem).
I guess I could send them an email too but I was thinking this is some blackberry issue.

I have seen this issue for users who configured IMAP in BIS.
Setting up the Exchange account as OWA instead of IMAP should solve this issue.

Another workaround :
Adding a filter may help you to stop the duplicate email's.
Creating a filter > not to forward messages to device if the from address is equal to user address.
Refer the Blackberry KB for details :

User has now got another Windows Active synch device with synchronised exchange. So blackberry is no longer priority. So never did get to the bottom of it now (don't think he'll be using his blackberry any more.

Therefore shall I split points between last two suggestions which seem helpful.
