Snagging selected result set(s) from stored procedure output

I need to make use of output from a stored procedure which is unfortunately locked, and I don't have access to the unlocked code. This SP returns about 9 results sets, only one of which I need to write the result to a global temp table. Is there a way to snag only selected result set(s) from an SP?

Use the SP to populate an ADO recordset, then use the NextRecordset method (for ADO.Net: NextResult on the DataReader ) to skip the  ones you don't want.
