Can access "\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy253\\blah" with copy, but not xcopy or robocopy.

I can access "\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy253\\blah" with the copy command, but not xcopy or robocopy. How can I do this?

I belie the command \\?\ isd a build in Microsoft command that can only be used with simple DOS commands.. Robocopy and xcopy are both programs within Microsoft. I must be honest though that i have never tested it before. I do know it works with command like md and rd and stuff like that..

Ya, it works with copy, but not xcopy or robocopy. Just wondering if there is a workaround or a way to make it work.

I'm afraid not cause you will always need to start a command prompt for doing things like that.. A very very long shot is creating a vbscript and use the %comspec% command and then try to execute the command there then..
