FTPS (FTP over SSL) capability on AIX 5.3 TL7 and later
Would like to have FTPS (FTP over SSL) capability on AIX 5.3. AIX 6.1 has the ability out of the box. Can anyone tell me the needed filesets, prerequisites and instructions needed for AIX 5.3?
You can use this: http://www.proatria.com/sftpplus_overview.htm
Another good client with ftps capabilities is lftp.
The rpm for AIX is here:
http://www.perzl.org/aix/index.php?n=Main.Lftp
This is the lftp homepage:
http://lftp.yar.ru/
You will need openssl. I assume you have it already installed, but here is the rpm:
http://www.perzl.org/aix/index.php?n=Main.Openssl
Good luck!

Thanks for your replies guys! The more and more I look, I'm beginning to think this article is of no truth. This IBM Developerworks article points out that the same FTPS client that is installed out of the box in AIX 6.1 can be installed onto AIX 5.3 TL7 and later. A call to IBM quickly discredited it (what a shame)... I have installed lftp for my client, but there seems to be a 'big-endian/little-endian' issue between the AIX client and the Red Hat server, because they complain of incomplete files and incorrect file sizes. Any thoughts on this?
