Exchange 2007 Slow response
We have just installed a new Exchange 2007 box. (migrated from 2003 exchange server)
A lot of the users are complaining that when they frist open Outlook 2007 client, there is a large deplay to open a email.
Also if they leave outlook open for a while, and do not do anything, there is a delay when they try to open and email (usually 5-15 sec)
I been trying to find a solution for this problem. Is there a way to stop the delays.

Are your outlook clients also running AV? Not to bash any vendor, but we found that Symantec Endpoint 11 slowed all our clients down just as you are describing. The McAfee AV product did not create the same delays. We had to switch AV's.

We are running in cache mode, I have also installed SP2
We are running Nod32 anti-virus. This did not give any issue prior to the upgrade

BrianMilnes - this is an old question. Unlike a forum it is not possible to "bump" questions back up the list. The only people who will see your post are those that have already participated. Instead you should post your question as a new question in the Exchange Server Zone which will allow other experts the chance to see the question and respond.
If the Outlook clients are in cached mode then a server issue is unlikely to be the cause. Are the Outlook up to date with the latest service packs? SP2 makes a significant difference in performance. I have also seen AV software on the clients cause performance hits as well.
