Volume Shadow Copies still occuring even though they are disabled
hey guys,
I have a box running Windows Server 2003 R2 EE. Volume Shadow copies are disabled yet it is still outputting on a daily basis. I stumbled across this problem when i noticed disk usage increasing significantly on a daily basis.
I have verified its set to not run.
When i attempt to press the disable button i get the error message which can be seen in image 1
So i have also attempted to disable the service and then attempt to disable it and i get image 2.
also it will not delete the files using the command line. i have attempted to remove associations etc but to no effect. infact it created an additional copy every time i tried.
please help grrrrrr

vssadmin resize shadowstorage /On=C: /For=C: /MaxSize=300MB
but this doesn't fix the problem that it is actually still creating copies even when its set to disabled.
