Dear forum mebers,

I have the folllowing problem: I have a PC with Windows XP SP2 and outlook express. There is a POP3 account set to delete the messages from the server after downloading them. I would like to re-install the XP on that machine, but how can I export and import these already downloaded messages to the new computer? "As nothing happened".

If you are using Outlook Express, just use the following link

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/270670
To export Messages and Address book.
File -> Export -> Messages
File -> Export -> Address Book
Choose a location to save these files, then copy onto a USB pen drive or another type of removable media.

To export the POP3 Account
Tools -> Accounts
Select the Mail tab
Choose the account and then choose Export
Choose a location to save this file and copy onto a USB pen drive or another type of removable media.

Once you have re-installed XP reverse the procedure above, choosing import, rather than export.
