Greetings,

We need to replace our current sonicwall (TZ 170 Standard) with a new firewall as we want to add a second broadband connection in order to keep the line up in the event of loss of connection of a provider.

We run a MS windows 2003 server from here and it hosts exchange and CRM 4.0. We currently have users in 5 different locations.

We want to do all we can to keep the speed and reliability in place. Please could you advise on the best firewalls on the market for our needs. We don't need a wireless connection but do need a dual lan port.

Any suggestions much appreciated. Thank you.

Your TZ170 can support dual WAN ports. I believe that all you need to do is pay for the Sonicwall OS enhanced license upgrade.

This will take advantage of the Opt port making it a secondary internet connect port.

This may be your most economical option.

Thanks for this, very useful, one company wanted 250+ for license, another said it's discontinued.

Yes the TZ is no more for sale but I do believe that Sonicwall still provides support.
