We would like to create an IP PBX with a 1861 cisco router. we only have 2 users as for now and are going to have a maximum of 5 users.

I wanted to know, what connection is best to terminate on the router I only know about  PRI line from PSTN coming on VWIC(E1) port. But, wont that give me 30 channels and I dont need that many?????

My senior was talking about taking calling minutes from a provider, could somebody please tell me how do you implement a setup wherein we take calling minutes from a provider.

We are going to user analog phones.
Also can IVR feature be implemented when using Cisco Router as your PBX solution

Hi, why don't you buy BRI cards???, it is cheaper, tha PRI, and 4 calls will be enough for you!

Yes,  IPIVR 5.x and above support CUCME (cisco unified communications manager express).  You will need an MCS server or third party equivalent.  I will post links to the requirements when I get to a PC.
