Hi

Is there such an attribute as a Mailbox owner for an Exchange 2003 mailbox? If so - how can I find it?

I can see Full Mailbox Permissions etc, but not the Owner?

Urgent so max points!

We have a 3rd party application that can modify a mailbox but only if the account that runs the app is the mailbox owner....so I was wondering how to figure this out? Is it always the AD account associated with it?
Yes you can take ownership of each and every mailbox , obviously the account should be associated with Active Directory
when you say modify, do you mean add/remove mail items?  Like Blackberry?

Sure - but is this the Mailbox Owner? For instance, if I go to a particular AD account > Properies > Exchange Advanced > Mailbox Rights > Advanced > Owner

Then I can see there is an owner there (current Owner of this Item), but that account can be different from the AD account whose properties I am actually checking?

So, who is the actual Mailbox Owner?
The true owner is the one who has the take ownership attribute
