Internet connectivity problems

We have 15 pc's linked to a Netgear DG834g router. 1 pc is windows 2000 and today it cannot see the internet.

I can ping a domain name at the Dos prompt and get an ip address returned.
I can browse to the ip address of the router and log into it.
I cannot view a web address by typing it's fqdn
I cannot view an external website by typing it's ip address into Internet Explorer.

I found an article that told me to uninstall TCP/IP and delete some registry keys, but this did not fix it. What else can I try?

Try to telnet to port 80 on an internet site(telnet www.google.com 80)  you should get a black screen.  That confirms that you have open access to the web site.

Check your IE settings and make sure a proxy has not been set.
Tools->Options->Connections->LAN Settings

also, make sure the ip gateway is correct.

This machine was ok until this morning. I've got the gateway address configured as the IP address of the router. There is no proxy server configured. Telnet www.google.com 80 failed to establish a connection.
