I have a Social Networking website built using Drupal .I need to have a utility application built that will use Webservices for Currency convertors on the web.Apart from converting the currency we do other fancy stuff on our side.<br />

I want this utility app. to exist on its own ..not be a part of drupal so that it can exist independently.I am wondering if this application ( which simply calls the webervice and manupilates the data and sends back data to the caller , here drupal caller) needs to run as a Process on the &nbsp;OS or as a cron JOB or under the control of Apache ?<br />
