Hi

I would like to set a forwarding address on one of my Exchange 2003 users, however it's saying that I don't have enough permissions. I am trying to do this via ADUC > Exchange General > Delivery Options > Forwarding Address

I have Full Mailbox Access to her mailbox....what other permissions would I need? Do I need RecieveAs or something?

Urgent so max points!

You shouldn't need amy mailbox permissions, to perform this in ADUC as long as you have the appropriate permissions in AD, I think Domain Admins should be sufficient.

Hi

Thanks....we are actually looking for the account type with the least admin permissions....is there an attribute or something that we can allow that allows someone to set a forwader? I think you are right - it's not an Exhange permission but an AD one.

Sorry I missunderstood the question.
That's a good one, have you tried it with the delegate control and specifying read/write all attributes just to see if if can be done?
Hello,

You will need both Exchange and AD permissions in order to do this. Exchange View Only Administrator permissions are needed at a minimum and the Read and Write Exchange Information rights are needed on the account.
