How to set display in Windows XP remote desktop with monitor resolution mismatched?
I have a toshiba satellite L300 that has a native resolution of 1280X800. I use the Toshiba to log into my office workstation whch has dual monitors and a native resolution (on each monitor) of 1024x768.
I cannot maximize windows in my documents to view docs and pdfs when I use remote desktop on the Toshiba laptop. How can I set remote desktop so that I can resize windows and optimize my viewing when working remotely? Since the resolutions differ between the office worstation and the laptop, what is the best way to set the screen display in remote desktop options? Any suggestions on what to try are helpful!

Well under the RDP connection -> Display tab you can pick a resolution. If this is something you do often you should look into Dameware, it allows you to access both screens and easily resize.

So the problem I am having is resizing document windows even with it set at full screen. Let's say I open MS Word while in remote desktop, the outer frame (Window) around the document will not allow me to resize to view the entire document. Would that be a remote dekstop display setting issue? It seems like it to me because I cannot maximize the window. (*Note - I am not referring to the Word settings, I know how to manipulate the document size in Word)
