Hello, I need to install sql server client 2000 on a laptop with Windows Vista Business 64 bit because we use a program in the office to retrieve documents called Docs Open from Hummingbird but everytime I try to install the sql server it tells me that the version is not compatible. I thought vista would come with sql 2005 so I was just trying to add the program but it keeps giving me the error "unrecognized sql client dll"
Thank you in advance!

Tough luck...

Earlier versions of SQL Server, including SQL Server 2000 (all editions including Desktop Engine edition, a.k.a MSDE), SQL Server 7.0, and SQL Server 6.5, will NOT be supported on Windows Server "Longhorn" or Windows Vista
