Postgres 8.3.* Tuning Parameters
Hello,
Can anybody help in tuning postgres 8.3.* version on Solaris 10 (sparc) to achieve higher insertion & retrieval speed?
Currently, i can insert 30K records/sec, whereas, i want to achieve ~2 Million records/sec.
I would really appreciate your help in this regard.

indexes slow down insert and update, but are of help with retrieval. yes - A vs B and you cannot fix it.
Have you done any runing or you go with default?
