Either the data on the flash is croupted or it is the flsah memory its self.

A switch will automaticaly find a IOS image stored in the flash, even if the boot paramaters are not set correctly.

Ie. if you have two IOS images sitting in flash, they wil be booted in the following order.

if you have the boot envirment set then the switch will use the named image,

if it then cant fine the image or it the seting is not set, it will search the flash and boot the first image it finds.

If yours is not booting that either means the IOS is damaged. or I think you may have damaged FLASH: memory.

you can try to copy over a new IOS.
you may want to format the flash first.

if this dosent work you may need new memory stick. going to cost about £50
can you post
dir from your sw. you can also do this from rommon mode.

if doesn't work than you will need to reinstall the ios file via hyper terminal xmodem which will take about 3/4 hours.
