We have 1 remote site of our company that runs on a Time Warner business class cable modem. &nbsp;At this site we have a SonicWall running Tz170 Enhanced 3.23.0-6e with a site-to-site VPN connection to our HQ which has a Sonicwall Pro 3060 Enhanced 4.0.0.2-51e. &nbsp;All of our other sites are AT&amp;T T1 MPLS networks with managed COS. &nbsp;The remote site is a vlan interface off our main Adtran core switch at HQ<br />

We have a ShoreTel VoIP system and Layer 3 Adtran 1335 poe switches.<br />

My question, how would I properly setup QoS on the sonicwalls to give the voice traffic priority? &nbsp;The diffserve bit in shoretel is set to 184, which translates to DSCP 46 and is marked by the phones. &nbsp;<br />

Sonicwall QoS Site - To- Site VPN

A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that uses a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or travelling users access to a central organizational network securely. VPNs encapsulate data transfers using secure cryptographic methods and other security mechanisms to ensure that only authorized users can access the network and that the data cannot be intercepted.

Hardware-based firewalls provide more sophisticated protection for inbound and outbound traffic than the simple Windows software firewall or the basic NAT firewalls found in routers. These devices implement techniques such as stateful packet inspection, deep packet inspection, and content filtering; and may include built-in antivirus and anti-malware protection.

Voice over IP (VoIP) is a methodology and group of technologies for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet. Other terms commonly associated with VoIP are IP telephony, Internet telephony, broadband telephony, and broadband phone service. The term specifically refers to the provisioning of communications services (voice, fax, SMS, voice-messaging) over the public Internet, rather than via the public switched telephone network (PSTN).  Examples of the VoIP protocols are H.323, Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), H.248 (also known as Media Gateway Control (Megaco)), Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), Real-time Transport Control Protocol (RTCP), Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP), Session Description Protocol (SDP), and Inter-Asterisk eXchange (IAX).
