How to recreate tempdb in SQL 2000
Hello,
During the process of VMWare virtualization of SQL2000 (SP4) server, tempdb was lost.
Tempdb resides on SAN drive of physical server but only local drive ( C ) was virtualized
and it's missing in virtual server now.
Of course, SQL server service won't start due to missing tempdb.
Is there anyway that I can recreate tempdb?
Thank you for your help.

The discussion forum in your link suggested to temporarily create a drive in the virtual machine and assign the same drive letter as the physical machine so that SQL can automatically create tempdb.
It solved my problem.
Thank you for your help.
