Lenovo T61 problem

Last Modified: 2013-11-17
Hi all,

I've received a Lenovo laptop from a client (T61,6460-7EU). The original problem was that the LCD hinge was broken. So naturally, I ordered the part and replaced it. I power it on, screen doesn't come on. Eventually ordered the LCD, replaced it. Booted and had a dim light. Ordered inverted and replaced it. Everything worked. So I gave the laptop to the client.
However, the client came back and told me that his LCD has been going in and out. I booted his laptop to test it, and I didn't see a problem. 2 minutes later, I rebooted it, and it shutdown. I tried powering back on and nothing. I waited and tried later, nothing. I waited 3 days, nothing.
Day 4 comes and magically, when i hit the power button, it came on. Everything is in working order.
Problem is, obviously something is wrong, I just can't pinpoint what created those errors. I know that if i give it to the client, he will come back next week.

If anyone can shine any light onto this, i'd greatly appreciate it.
