Hi Guys

Hope someone can give me a hand with this one as i am at a wits end with it.

long story short PPTP VPN not working behind the ASA

............A.......O--PRIVATE LINK ---O......B......()---Internet

Where A is network A and same goes for the B
O are routers and () is the ASA

-users from Network A can not PPTP to a location on the Internet
- users from network B have no problems
- created a dummy VPN server on network B, users on network A have no issues connecting to it

so i ascertained that the issue must be with the ASA

existing rule states
permit networks A,B on the internal interface to anywhere using PPTP

When i perfomred logging I received this error

%ASA-3-305006: {outbound static|identity|portmap|regular) translation
creation failed for protocol src interface_name:source_address/source_port dst
interface_name:dest_address/dest_port

I attempted to set up a Static NAT for a PC to test with and had no success with it. PAT works on the servers on the same network.

I will be happy to provide any other details if required.

Cheers in advance
