Reuse of code (several if-clauses to a class?)

This might looks like a heavy question but i'm mostly interested in an more lightweight solution.. (and more flexible), please check the attached code.. I think it would be nice with a sort of foreach  that's going through all within the same connection object..
DataContext db = new DataContext();
                var msg = from m in db.Msg
                          where m.Id == _msgId
                          select m;
                                   
 
                if (EmailBody.ToLower().Contains("string_xy"))
                {
                    msg.FirstOrDefault().Status = 504
                    db.SubmitChanges();
                }
                
                if (EmailBody.ToLower().Contains("delivery to the following recipients failed."))
                {
                    msg.FirstOrDefault().Status = 503
                    db.SubmitChanges();
                }
and so on.. (this could be hundreds of if-clauses..)
