Hello Everyone,
I am having a very strange problem with IIS 7 when trying to install an SSL Certificate. I obtained the SSL through GoDaddy and downloaded both the cert and the Intermediate CA. I installed the Intermediate CA on the server without a problem. I then switch over to inetmgr, click on my server, double click 'Server Certifcates' and select 'Complete Certificate Request' from the Actions pane. I work through the Wizard and the certficate appears in the center pane of inetmgr without error. I then click on the website that I wish to create an https binding for but when I go to select the cert that I just installed, it does not appear in the drop down list of available certificates. Furthermore, if I go back to the Server Level to view the installed server certificates, the certificate that I just installed no long appears!
Additional Detail: The CSR that was used to generate the cert came from an entirely different machine from an entirely different company. When i logged into the clients GoDaddy account I opted for GoDaddy to jsut 'ReIssue' the certificate as opposed to 'Rekey'.
I have read the following articles on how to install an SSL cert properly and have gone through the steps many times with the same result. Any ideas?
