Map network drive: Target account name incorrect

Background:
We moved a branch office to a different location. I used netdom to change the server name and went into ADSandS renamed the old site, deleted the connection and re-created it at the branch office. I was able to force replication and see the updates at our main office. I did have to recreate the connection in our main office site going to that branch office server

Everything was looking great until I tried to map a network drive from the renamed server to our mainoffice server. I get the following error:
The mapped network drive could not be created because the folloing error has occured:
Logon failure: the target account name is incorrect.

I am able to map the drive using the IP address, but when I go to nslookup it is giving me the correct information at both the branch office and the main office location.

Any ideas?

From the renamed server try ipconfig /registerdns Then try ipconfig /flushdns on the connecting server if you still can not connect

ASKER

I tried the register and flush, but it did not resolve the issue.
