Canon iR C3220 not scanning to the network any more
Hi guys
Last week our Canon iR C3220 would scan to the network using SMB no problems. Now today, it can't see the server it is to save to. I can ping the IP of the destination from the photocopier but it won't show up in the server list when i press "Browse" when setting a destination manually.
things i have checked:
DNS (restarted)
IP Address settings
Rebooted both servers that could possibly affect it
checked all the configuration settings of the photocopier
Hard powered it a dozen times
but I still can't get anywhere
There error i get is "No Reponse" and i've tried all the suggestions in the troubleshooting section.
Anyone had any experience with this?

- Reconfigure the settings on printer
- assign a different IP address for the printer
- on print server reconfigure the ip address and port for printer
ASKER
Tried changing to an unused IP address, remapped on the print server but still can't scan from the scanner to the network
Users can print to is and the print server is the server that the printer can't see when i'm trying to scan to it

If thats the case, are you sure the scan folder is the desired one and it has right permission.
- Make sure printer has the correct login credentials to write to that scan directory.
- You can double check by changing or creating new scan directory on different server to test the scan..

I have had similar problems in the past and it always turn out to be a problem with WINS.
I do not believe that this has a correct solution. I am currently having this very same problem and have done everything above the same. I Have the same printer as above and recently my client went on vacation and came back. Since then the scanner has not worked at all giving an error of 751 I believe. about networking probelm. Anyways I since have worked on this for two - three days and cannot find a solution. I gave in to buying an HP 8500A Premium that does filesharing and hooking it up under the same username and pwd as the canon. It can see the folders and can scan.
The Canon IR 3220 can still print from any local computer and can also be pinged. its on a static local ip and has not had this problem until recently. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
