Pick System to MAS 90 EES

This is a tough question for my business.  All of our business records and operations are currently kept on a Pick system thru Univ.  Because of support and necessary server upgrades, we are looking to fully automate our office systems and have looked at MAS 90 EES.  Here are the two issues.  1.  For MAS 90 EES with full EDI capabilities, they want $90,000, plus the necessary hardware changes we will have to make.  2.  The second issue is data migration from our Pick system.  Basically, they want to charge a small fortune to export the Pick files to the proper files that the Sage software will be able to import and build on.
I need some serious advice from you guys, especially if I am looking at this the wrong way.  The obvious solution is to find a Pick system that has the full capabilities of  a MAS 90 system, from receiving orders thru EDI to printing orders, invoices, inventory control, AR, AP, etc.  Does anyone know if something like this exists?  I am in this up to my neck and would appreciate any information, advice or scolding you care to lay on me.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.

Thanks for the very well thought0out reply.  Gives me much to think about.
One point that he mentioned IS the most important.  That is the tip about keeping the Pick system online as long as possible.  In all reality, you may find a feature or funtion that cannot or is not replaced in the MAS90 system that will have you using the Pick system in tandem for quite a while.
Here is a FAQ I put together for IT people that may assist you in understanding what is going on "behind the curtian" and "some things Mother never told you" when using MAS 90. These are not Good/Bad just information so that when things may go wrong, you will understand what may be happening.

Thank you all.  Still digesting!!
