A user complains that a calendar invite to three employees was not responded to, and those employees state the invite was never received. The calendar invite is for 10/2/09 and clearly shows the thre employees in the To field. A check of our e-mail archives does not show this message as being sent, but the calendar invite clearly looks like the invite was sent. The meeting does not appear in the three employees' calendar, but it does in the sender's. The invite also states - no responses have been receivd for this meeting. There are three attachments to the meeting, and it may have been sent from Outlook or through the user's Blackberry, which is connected via BES, and has no other e-mail accounts setup. Any suggestions? This has happened to me once, when updating a calendar invite on my Blackbrery. The recipient never received the update. I am also on BES.
It doesn't seem related to CDO.DLL as the problem and the issue is only spordadic. I tested the issue on my Blackberry Storm, and encountered no problems. I think when this occurred to me, I was using a Blackberry 8830 World Edition. The user above who experienced the issue most recently is using a Blackberry Bold on the ATT network.

Did you try upgrading the OS of the handheld.

I'll see if I can get the handheld from the user. Thanks.
I updated the handheld OS today. I am asking the user to send a calendar invite via Blackberry. I should have an answer within 24 hours. I think this case will finally be closed.
The OS update for the Blackberry Bold 9000 was not a success. The user sent me a calendar invite from his Blackberry, and I did not receive it. Odd. Re-activated him on the BES server too!

It turns out that the CDO file on BES was from 2003, while on Exchange, it was from 2008. I copied the one from Exchange to BES, registered the DLL, rebooted BES, resend service books, and things seem OK. It also fixed the hour discrepancy that happen a few weeks per year related to DST.
