how do I terminate scsi drives

I have three 10k drives. All are LVD. one is a cheetah ultra320 st336753lw and the other two are fujitsu map3367np drives.

I am unfamiliar with how to set the jumpers on the drives so that each has a different scsi id.

My goal is to create a raid5 on an adaptec 39320 card but right now I can only get the card to see the cheetah drive.

I'm new to setting up scsi and appreciate all input to help point me in the right direction.

FYI: In the Fujitsu link the word "short" is referred to as using a jumper plug to cover the drive ID pins.  When you place a jumper plug (that tiny little plastic thing used to ID drives) over two pins you are essentially shorting that connection.  Keep your jumper plugs vertical and you should have no issues setting your drive ID's.

Great guys. That got me seeing all three drives in the adaptec software. I've created a mirrorred raid with a spare as the 39320r card does not do raid 5. Now I have to find a way to get windows to install to it. driver disk or something.

Check out this reference for installing windows with RAID setups:

In short, just wait for the "Press F6 if you need to install third party SCSI or RAID Driver"  Have your adaptec drivers handy on a floppy or slipstream your card drivers onto a new windows installation disc.

Yeah that's what I'm trying. Downloaded the latest driver from adaptec. pressed f6, insert the floppy, it finds the 32 bit driver. (it's the only one on the floppy) but when I get to windows installation it says no disks found...

got it. I had a driver for hostraid disabled. I had hostraid enabled so I grabbed a different driver from adaptec.

Many thanks guys.
