FYI: In the Fujitsu link the word "short" is referred to as using a jumper plug to cover the drive ID pins. When you place a jumper plug (that tiny little plastic thing used to ID drives) over two pins you are essentially shorting that connection. Keep your jumper plugs vertical and you should have no issues setting your drive ID's.

Great guys. That got me seeing all three drives in the adaptec software. I've created a mirrorred raid with a spare as the 39320r card does not do raid 5. Now I have to find a way to get windows to install to it. driver disk or something.
In short, just wait for the "Press F6 if you need to install third party SCSI or RAID Driver" Have your adaptec drivers handy on a floppy or slipstream your card drivers onto a new windows installation disc.

Yeah that's what I'm trying. Downloaded the latest driver from adaptec. pressed f6, insert the floppy, it finds the 32 bit driver. (it's the only one on the floppy) but when I get to windows installation it says no disks found...
