Silverlight: Login/password question...

Hello

I am designing a website completely in Silverlight. Now I want to create a UserAccount-possibility.
My idea is, to have a form where the user enters his login/username. With a webservice I am checking it on our server. If it's ok, I just set a global bool to "true". So the user is logged in until he is closing the website or logging off.

My question is: Is this a bit secure? Or is there another approach that is more secure?

Thanks

Sven
