AVI file format won't play on my PC
Folks,
I have received a CD with a number of AVI files on it from a security camera. When I try to play them on any media player on my PC I am getting an error message saying that I need to download a codec.
The error message I am getting form the media player is "You've encountered error message C00D119A". I have followed all the Microsoft steps but sill no joy. I have also downloaded several different codec packs but to no avail.
When I tried to convert the files with AVS4YOU it threw up an error saying file format not supported.
Info I did find out was that the file format is 3RVC.
Anybody any Ideas?

Please identify the brand and model number of the security camera that generated the AVI files.

I got this error message when installed VLC
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "3RVC". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
Afraid I don't have the make and model of the security camera
