Can you provide a selection for editing a record in a Domino view?
Greetings experts,
I have a customer who is requesting that he be able to edit his column information in a Domino view. So no problem I can do that for him using the inviewedit event. I can also provide validation there so he can only enter certain characters. But how about the ability to give him a selection when he clicks on the column. Is that possible?
Thank you - Notes Rookie

My customer would like to be able to click on the column for that record, get a pull down of values and make his selection. I think I'd be able to provide some validation for what he enters but I imagine not a selection. I will be able to do a validation for what he enters?

Hey sjef,
I believe I got the drift. I hope to be able to carry that out before I leave on vacation although officially I am already on vacation. I like the idea you have and would like to try it out.
Thanks.

Hope it works by now. Thanks!
Anyway, AFAIK, the in-view editing is a rather limited feature. What exactly did you (or he) have in mind what should happen when the column is clicked? Standard behaviour of a view column is that nothing happens, unless you made the column sortable.
In other words: what does he want?
