Sharepoint 2007 Search Service Error Event ID 10039

Sharepoint 2007 Search Service if failing.   We receive multiple Event ID's listed below.  The problem appears to be related to the SQL Sharepoint Search database.   Sharepoint Central Administration will not open Search Administration in order to view logs.

Search services active are: Office Sharepoint Server Search, Windows Sharepoint Services Help Search, Windows Sharepoint Services Web Application.

It seems the Search Configuration Database is corrupted.  Any ideas welcome. Thanks.

Track down the login failed issue by trying to log in with the account manually.  It could be a corrupt password.  If you still suspect a corrupt database, use built-in SQL tools to verify the data.
Check if the account that your search service is running under has acces to the Sql database and make sure the password hasn't been changed lately.
