Unlock AVG shared settings

I have several companies running on AVG network edition. Once setup I go into the admin console and configure scan times, exclusions etc in the Tools-shared settings. As soon as this is done the settings are locked and users can not change them - how do I unlock these settings and change them back to defaults? Hitting the default button does change them back but the settings remain locked.

Thank you for the comment and I see it's probably the correct answer however I don't see where one may set it from mandatory to non-mandatory. There is no check box or description in the console to change this status (at least I can't find it)
Thanks

OK I went back and right click on the locks which offers the options to make mandatory or just monitored.
Thank you for the incite and solution.

Anti-virus software was originally developed to detect and remove computer viruses. However, with the proliferation of other kinds of malware, antivirus software started to provide protection from other computer threats. In particular, modern antivirus software can protect from malicious browser helper objects (BHOs), browser hijackers, ransomware, keyloggers, backdoors, rootkits, trojan horses, worms, malicious layered service providers (LSPs), dialers, fraud tools, adware and spyware. Some products also include protection from other computer threats, such as infected and malicious URLs, spam, scam and phishing attacks, online identity theft (privacy), online banking attacks, social engineering techniques, Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), botnets and DDoS attacks.
