Uploading to FTP server

Hi Experts

I want to upload 1~3 GB filesize's to remote office FTP server, I have 2 mpbs leased line internet connection.
So i have few questions in my head, just want to clear the doubts.

What is best way to upload?
Is this bandwidth sufficient?
Do i have to increase the bandwidth?
Will i face speeds issues, if upload such huge files?
Does upload speeds also depend on opposite side i mean there FTP server and internet speeds?

I'll be using Filezilla client latest... No sure weither it supports resume but online website says "Supports resume and transfer of large files >4GB"

Establishing VPN will increase speeds? How to create VPN if in case i need to?

Step-by-step answers to my question would have been better :)

Does Filezila support Auto-resume? Any ideas?

I have 2 mbps (1:2) leased line is it OK?

VPN is out of question, we dont have that much budget plus manpower.
