In Visio 2007, where is the Torn Paper shape located (which stencil) ?
HI EEers

In Visio 2007, where is the Torn Paper shape located (which stencil)?  It is a shape that indicates a piece of paper has been torn off (or ripped) and had a bottom of page tear off and top of page tear off.

I had this shape a few years ago in Visio 2003 and could make use of it again now, however I cannot find it in 2007.  Can you assist please?  Many thanks FH

I assume you're referring to something other than the shape below? (It's from the Basic Flowchart Shapes stencil.)

I still have a copy of Visio 2003 and can look for the shape you're remembering if you can tell me where you found it. I didn't locate one when I looked just now.

Hi scott

Thanks for your reply, but that is the 'Document' shape.  I am specifically looking for a torn paper shape.  I am beginning to think it might have been a non-standard shape i.e. one that is not native to Visio...

Was this a static image or did it have any special Visio properties, i.e., you could you alter its appearance using the right click menu?

If the former, it you may be right that is wasn't a Visio shape. If the latter, let me know, as there are a couple of Visio oldtimers I can ask.

Well I can recall being able to manipulate the image, but cannot remember whether it has Visio properties.

Righto.  I found the original shape in one of my old Visio docs (2003 Version) but I do not know what it is called.  I will still award the points if someone can tell me what this shape is called and where this shape is located within Visio.  See attached pic..

Hi Scott.  Thanks for the suggestion - there might be no other way. I was really hoping to get an understanding of where this shape originated from as I am using Visio on various computers so I guess I will just need to drag this shape along from computer to computer on the odd occassion I need to use it.

This isnt exactly the answer as it will not help someone else looking for this shape in their own version of Visio, but is enough to assist me resolve this problem because I already have a copy of the shape, so I will be able to use it in various diagrams in the future.

I understand your desire to find the source of the shape; sorry I couldn't help with that.

As far as wanting to use the shape/stencil on multiple PCs, why not stick it on one of the many free, online file storage services like:
At least then it's always available "in the cloud"!
