Test E-mail AutoConfiguration & Users disconnect from Exchange server 2007

Hello -

When I run the Test Email AutoConfiguration I notice that Guess POP:server pop.rapadoc.com, port 995 initializing
Guess POP:server pop.rapadoc.com, port=995, SSL=yes, tls=no,spa=no,starting
Guess POP:server pop.rapadoc.com, port 110, initializing
Guess POP:server pop.rapadoc.com, port=110, ssl=yes, tls=no,spa=no,starting
Guess POP:server pop.rapadoc.com, port=110,ssl=yes, tls=no, spa=no, FAILED (0x800CCC0D)
same for port 995-POP (0x80040113) 143 - IMAP (0x80040113), 993-IMAP (0x800CCC0D).

When I run without checking Use Guesssmart and Secure Guessmart Authentication I get:

Attempting URL https://Exchange.domain.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml found through SCP
Attempting URL https://Exchange.domain.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml starting
Attempting URL https://Exchange.domain.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
Attempting URL https://Exchange.domain.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml succeeded (0x00000000)

Can someone explain what this means? I tested cause I have a couple of users that notice in the morning that their outlook says not connected when hitting the send/recieve and then after awhile they are connected again and email will start working. This happens about twice a day. Any ideas on why this happens?

Thanks,

nimdatx

thanks.

I've got a user that has an issue connecting to our exchange server from outlook. Outlook says, trying to connect and then stays disconnected. After a while it connects back and email seems not to be lost during that users downtime.

Error from Outlook: Task Microsoft Exchange Server reported errors....(0x800411D & 0X80040115).

Any idea why this is happening?

The error codes are generic cannot connect errors. They don't actually tell you anything of any use.

Simon.
There are some known issues with WIndows 2003 SP2 and Exchange 2007, are you running Windows 2003 or 2008?
