actually the reason i want to do that is because my exchange Mail boxes data base is really big and i wanted to decrease it by deleting multimedia attachments from the data base itself

so i wanted to know at least  if their is a tool to help in this
thanks

OK well when was the last time you did an offline defrag of the exchange database? You would be surprised at how much white space you will get back.....offine defrags carrys risks and as Mestha rightly pointed out I would follow his article regarding this:

yes i know that defragmentation is really good & also know that its not going to remove any unnecessary data - so just to confirm again are you sure there is no way to delete something form the exchange data base as i asked before
i appreciate your comment
