A client of mine that I've designed an e-commerce site for wants a link to facebook on the front page similar to one at the bottom of this site

I'm not a user of Facebook myself other than signing up just to have a quick look awhile back, so i don't know a lot about the intricacies of Facebook.

I need someone to explain to me in very simple terms :-) what the difference is between  Facebook's 'Share Partners' and 'Facebook Connect' for instance?

My client has a facebook page for her website as well but that's not relevent is it or is it??

If somebody could explain it all to me that would be much appreciated.
