How to add a permanent route in Sun Solaris (SunOS 5)
We have a Sun Fire v240 and SunOS v5.9 .
We added a new network link to a counterparty server and each time the server reboots we have to manually add - "route add <destination IP> <LAN Gateway IP>"
How do I add a permanent route?
Thanks.

In another document they suggested /etc/rc2.d (http://www.itsyourip.com/networking/howto-add-a-static-route-persistent-in-sun-solaris/# )
Can I create the file using the full steps below?
# cd /etc/rc2.d/
# vi S76static-routes
route add 76.23.1.10 192.168.1.1 1
^ESC
:wq
# chmod 744 /etc/rc2.d/S76static-route
