Raid Controller

Hi;
I have recently got a RAID 10K controller for the IBM server which was shipped without RAID 10K. Now when i am using the server configuration CD for the configuration of OS and other parameters. I receive a notification as no disks are installed. Where as disks are placed correclty in the bay.
Any idea of the issue.

Thanks

If you boot into the Raid Controller Bios does it show the drives? Try creating your Raid Array within the Bios and then do your OS Config install.
Try to configure your RAID first before installing OS otherwise harddisk will not detected.

You may try to boot the Raid CD first (IBM ServeRAID Support CD) which you got when you bought the server.

HI;
Thanks for the reply. When i am inserting the IBM serverraid CD a message pops up upon booting from CD that no raid controllers are found. where as the controller is fitted into correct place.
Where I am not really sure for that but in my IBM server you may check it on your motherboard map inside the chasing, try to open it , it has map normally.

hi,
are you still "locked" ?

Which CD (version) have you used to cfg your server ?
Have you configured array with minisetup BIOS Program ?
Which OS have you to install in the server ?
